Feature Film Script Call
Here’s Looking At You Productions creative staff is looking for low-budget and ultra-low budget feature scripts to be produced and submitted to film festivals. Payment will be lo/no/deferred.
In order to submit you MUST put the genre of the script in the subject line ALONG with the title.
You MUST ALSO download a release form from our website – located here.
The release form AND the script must be submitted in the SAME email or we will not read your script. The release form is REQUIRED.
The scripts should be written as a professional screenplay, in Word or PDF Format ONLY. All other formats or submissions (Loglines, Synpopsis, and Samples) WILL NOT be read.

Jonathan Schwartz wins Richmond Film Festival Corporate Director Award
The 2012 Richmond International Film Festival (previously known as the Mix Short Film Festival) Corporate Award goes to HLYP’s Jonathan Schwartz. The film – STRIVE – premiered today at the festival, and can be seen on HLYP’s website here.
This category was a bonus category that all entrants are eligible to enter for free as long as they’ve entered a project in at least one other main category.
The festival’s corporate partner will give a call to action for a specific short film project and writers will have two weeks to submit their treatment and script. After the corporate sponsor reviews all submitted material, a winning script will be selected.
The winning script will then be submitted to all entrants who would like to compete for crafting the script’s direction. These directors will have two weeks to complete their vision & storyboard for the script. The corporate sponsor will then select the director with the winning concept.
The winners are each awarded a cash prize and a copy of Sony Vegas Pro editing software. Normally, the festival would then co-direct the film with winner and show it at the film festival, but due to Jonathan’s experience and vision – he was given sole direction and the commission to shoot the film.

HLYP’s Jonathan Schwartz’s short film on IMDB!
HLYP’s Director/Editor Jonathan Schwartz produced/edited a short film for Windrunner Productions – called One Day Away - which has been accepted by IMDB! It is also in competition for several upcoming film festivals, with Academy Award Winning Editor Jeff Gourson supervising the editing, and Call of Duty video game director Keith Arem doing the sound mix. Congratulations to Jonathan!

One Day Away explores the possibility that through our actions and choices, we are all only One Day Away from loosing all that we hold dear. It also demonstrates that we don’t really know what’s important to us, until we have lost it. One Day Away is a story told through a compelling professionally mixed score, visually stunning photography, and background audio that enhances what we are left to discover and determine for ourselves.
